Before booking wedding, I love meeting with my couples! Either in a coffee shop or if necessary a Face time chat. Why do I do client consultations? I want to be able to see and feel my couples chemistry and of course to see if we vibe together. It’s kind of like a first date haha!
During this meeting, I usually answer any questions they might have regarding my wedding collections and how I photographically approach weddings. I know I've found a Lily Tapia Couple #lilytapiacouple when the first time I meet them feels like hanging out with friends and we are laughing the entire time!
When I first met Gabby and Oscar I knew they were my ideal couple! We talked for hours about the randomest things and of course wedding details! I’ve had the honor to shoot another family member’s wedding and I felt like I was talking to them! Just like my past couple Gabby and Oscar were genuine, kind, and so down to earth!
Their summer wedding at Walnut Grove in Tierra Rejada Ranch was a dream! They fully trusted my guidance on their timeline and ended up having so much time to do all their portraits and family photos before the reception started this included bridal party photos as well which meant the crew could go enjoy cocktail hour. Heyyy!
My favorite part about photographing at Walnut Grove in Tierra Rejada Ranch, was how the trees were cascading and creating a rustic Forest Vibe. Which was especially needed for shade since portraits were done early in the afternoon!
So many favorite moments from Oscar’s brother handing Gabby and Oscar as a welcome trophy for winning an Oscar, to the couple’s first dance, their amazing sunset shoot (which was added by yours truly just in time for those Golden hour shots. Shout out to them for allowing these magnificent sunset moments)
To their choice of having churros instead of cake as their dessert!
Thank you Gabby and Oscar for trusting me to capture your special day and being the BEST Lily Tapia Couple!!
Venue: Bagramian Hall

These two high school sweethearts. Still going strong!
A couple of words from the gorgeous bride: "We love LILY!! Thank you for everything you're AMAZING! I just wanted to let you know that the experience I had with Lily Tapia Photography was more than we could ever ask for. In choosing our photographer, the selection process was very difficult we wanted the "PERFECT" person and we are overly joyed with you, Lily! You made the engagement shoot so much fun and exciting and you were honestly our main guide on the day of the wedding too! You went above and beyond just being a talented and fun photographer you made our day smoother. We are LOVING each and every shot of our wedding photos! Overall such a great experience planning wise and I would recommend this company to anyone and everyone!"
Thank you to Jessica and Fabian, your love for each other is one I will always remember. Your classic and romantic wedding transcended through the touches of blush pink, peonies, and your elegant mermaid dress. Little Aidan is lucky to have two loving parents by his side!
Citlali and Daniel's wedding was straight out of a rustic fairy tale. There love for each other is something you see in a movie. From the way, Daniel proposed to her, which was in the middle of her doing a play for her church to the way he protects her. He is her home, her rock.
When I arrived at Springville Ranch I knew it was the perfect location for these two to say I do. In the middle of a town was this venue beautiful venue filled with different nature elements that took my breath away. Citlali and Daniel are an amazing couple and truly had a perfect celebration of their love with their loved ones. I am excited to share a few of my favorites from their day!
The moment I met Diana and Daniel for our initial consultation I knew we were going to become great friends! Maybe it was the way they both kept it real throughout the session, which I love! We stayed talking for hours to the point we lost track of time.
Let me tell you a little bit about them! They met in high school senior year in biology class. Daniel and Diana were both very smart students. One day Daniel needed a tutor to help him with his homework, but we all know it was an excuse to talk to Diana. They finally went out, they got married a couple of years later. It wasn't the way they both dreamt of, but they knew they loved each other so much, they were willing to wait till they were able to walk down the aisle and make their eternal love official in front of Gods eyes. They both attended college as well as worked rigorous hours at work to be able to pay for schooling, in the back of their mind they both knew they wanted to marry through the church.
Finally, in March, they were able to make their dream and family's dream come true. Diana with a huge smile on her face walked down the aisle. This church had special meaning to her family it is where she, her sisters, and brother did their first communion and confirmation. Once they finally said I do and got a few moments to thank God for this glorious moments, they walked down the aisle, Diana made eye contact with her proud father.
They danced the night away with their family and friends. I have never met a family full of life and happiness. So many moments they will never forget. Even Edgar and I (once we were off the clock danced the night away with the bride and groom not because we were weirdos, but because they invited us ;) )
Diana, we LOVE you & Daniel so much! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for bringing us in as photographers turned friends, and treating us like family! Please let us know when you are back in town, we miss you both in Cali!!
Claudia and Salvador met through a family member. From the first moment they met, it was love at first sight. If it was up to Salvador he would have married her yesterday, he is crazy in love with Claudia!
It was an honor documenting this special day for both of them! I had such an amazing time! They welcomed Edgar and I to their family's home with open arms and we couldn't be more thankful!
Gabriela wedding was so different I fell in love with all the vibrant colors they used in their wedding. The couple infused their culture to their wedding day, I was surrounded of mixes of bright colors. They even incorporated Mexican attire to their wedding dress and he was dressed up as a true charro.
I have never seen the use of the zarape so elegantly used. This was one of the weddings I was able to be part of and capture back in October when I was still working as a second photographer for Rosalina Suarez Photography.
I am completely fortunate for everything I learned from my mentor, and I will never forget how much she helped me . She pushed me to start this new journey in my life. At times (which is a lot) when I am feeling low and insecure about my business she is the person I call. She is one of the few who understands how difficult it is to start a business. I think she believes in me more than I believe in myself. Rosa, I can not thank you enough for being such an incredible mentor!
This new journey has really forced me to dig into who I really am, and I love every second of it. Yes, like I said before there is days I want to drop the towel, but there are other days especially when I see the gratification of my clients when I think I love my job!
