Bright Fall Inspired Wedding

OMG! I am so excited to finally be able to share this amazing inspired session with you all! What a better way to start November than by receiving the news that our shoot is featured on The Perfect Palette today and available for you all to see our creativity unfold.

On April I started brainstorming with Marcie from the Cucumber Bride to figure out a look for the shoot that would represent our brands.  We knew we loved DIY brides, with touches of boho, and of course color! The next step was finding a wedding stylist who can envision our Pinterest crazy ideas and make them into a reality! Along came Gaby from Cause We Can Events! boy was I Glad I met her at The Thrifted Sister's event. So many great vendors came together for the sake of creativity! I am so glad I was able to work with so many talented and kind wedding vendors.

I am in Cloud 9! I can't stop saying it...and I probably won't for a while! So many beautiful elements were added to this shoot from the cake, the calligraphy, the flowers, furniture, and boho rugs.. this list can go on! Everything was simply perfect! I can't forget how we all got to enjoy our hard work with a Churro and maybe Champagne!

I hope this styled wedding inspires my 2017 brides and all the upcoming "I do's" You know the holiday season is coming!!

Yuri's Palos Verdes Maternity Session

LD9A1872.jpg

Yuri finally gave birth to Camila! so I thought this would be the perfect time to share her lovely session with you all.  She is such a strong mommy, I can only imagine how happy she is to be able to hold her baby girl in her arms.  Her Palos Verdes session is definitely one I will remember, throughout her session Yuri was so celestial taking in the scene and simply enjoying this sweet moment with her baby girl. Big hugs Yuri, you are going to be an amazing mommy

Pasadena City Hall Anniversary Session

Your wedding day is just day one of a new beginning.  You've gotten the chance to know each other inside and out, on good days and bad days.  Resulting in a love stronger than ever thought possible.

Marlen and Jose's anniversary session, was filled with laughter and tender moments between each other.  I can not wait to see what life has in store with them.

Diana + Daniel Wedding

The moment I met Diana and Daniel for our initial consultation I knew we were going to become great friends! Maybe it was the way they both kept it real throughout the session, which I love! We stayed talking for hours to the point we lost track of time.

Let me tell you a little bit about them! They met in high school senior year in biology class.  Daniel and Diana were both very smart students.  One day Daniel needed a tutor to help him with his homework, but we all know it was an excuse to talk to Diana.  They finally went out, they got married a couple of years later.  It wasn't the way they both dreamt of, but they knew they loved each other so much, they were willing to wait till they were able to walk down the aisle and make their eternal love official in front of Gods eyes.  They both attended college as well as worked rigorous hours at work to be able to pay for schooling, in the back of their mind they both knew they wanted to marry through the church.

Finally, in March,  they were able to make their dream and family's dream come true.  Diana with a huge smile on her face walked down the aisle.  This church had special meaning to her family it is where she, her sisters, and brother did their first communion and confirmation.  Once they finally said I do and got a few moments to thank God for this glorious moments,  they walked down the aisle, Diana made eye contact with her proud father.

They danced the night away with their family and friends.  I have never met a family full of life and happiness.  So many moments they will never forget.  Even Edgar and I (once we were off the clock danced the night away with the bride and groom not because we were weirdos, but because they invited us ;)  )

Diana, we LOVE you & Daniel so much! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for bringing us in as photographers turned friends, and treating us like family! Please let us know when you are back in town, we miss you both in Cali!!

Melissa and Travis, a love made in Coffee heaven

Melissa and Travis met in biology class during high school.  Their years of friendship made their relationship stronger and deeper than ever. They have a passion for politics and long distance running.  (I wonder if they do both at the same time) They have a deep understand of one another, and share so much of the same mindset, and a love for Santa Barbara.

Throughout their session, a little bit of their personality started to peak out and I couldn't have loved it more, even though we started our session at a Grand Central's coffee, they acted like such pros when they started to create a small group of viewers ;)

In three weeks they will be tying the knot and I can not wait to capture their amazing wedding!

Kim +Zach's Forest Engagement Session

Kim and Zach are one of my favorites! Their love for adventure hiking, the great outdoors  and each other made this session one I will always remember.  It was our first time venturing into a different location, a hidden location close to Sequoia, once visited by Kim when she was a kid. We all rode out with Zach's uncles truck following behind us, it felt like we were in a parade driving down the road.  One of the surprising element is while Kim and Zach shared a kiss in the field it started to rain, it made this session that much more special.  We could've stayed here all day, the location was too breathtaking.  Kim and Zach will be getting married this October, I am too excited for their upcoming wedding

Mariachi Wedding

Gabriela wedding was so different I fell in love with all the vibrant colors they used in their wedding.  The couple infused their culture to their wedding day, I was surrounded of mixes of bright colors.  They even incorporated Mexican attire to their wedding dress and he was dressed up as a true charro.

I have never seen the use of the zarape so elegantly used.  This was one of the weddings I was able to be part of and capture back in October when I was still working as a second photographer for Rosalina Suarez Photography.

I am completely fortunate for everything I learned from my mentor, and I will never forget how much she helped me .  She pushed me to start this new journey in my life.  At times (which is a lot) when I am feeling low and insecure about my business she is the person I call.  She is one of the few who understands how difficult it is to start a business.  I think she believes in me more than I believe in myself.  Rosa, I can not thank you enough for being such an incredible mentor!

This new journey has really forced me to dig into who I really am, and I love every second of it.  Yes, like I said before there is days I want to drop the towel, but there are other days especially when I see the gratification of my clients when I think I love my job!
