wedding moments

Claudia + Jose's wedding at Rancho de Oro

I am so excited to finally get to share Claudia and Jose’s Spring Wedding at Rancho El Toro with you gals and guys! The venue offered so many beautiful locations to shoot. The hills behind the venue were absolutely breath taking. It was the perfect backdrop for their romantic session.

To me one of the most heart warming moments of their wedding was seeing the unity between the two families. Their love for both their children was seen through out the night, it was especially seen when they did their dances with their parents. We all had to hold back the tears!

Claudia and Jose hold a special place in my heart from their San Diego wedding to their unforgettable wedding. Thank you guys for choosing me to capture your special day!!

Evelyn & Julio Wedding

One of the many clients I fell in love with.  Evelyn and Julio had their ceremony Skypark Drive in Torrance.  It was a rainy Sunday afternoon as Julio and Evelyn said their I do's.  Rain is always seen as a sign of fresh start and to them I wish them nothing, but the best of luck and love as they start their first year as husband and wife.  To this day I can still remember the way their entire family knew how to have a blast and the unity they all had.

Grayson and Joe

I had the honor and privilege to photograph Grayson and Joe's wedding this past fall at Blue Water Grill in Redondo Beach.  With the last taste of summer days, they were filled with genuine love for one another.  Family and friends descended at Joe's house in El Segundo for the ceremony and followed them to Redondo Beach.  I was in awe to see the love their family and friends shared for them.  Their vows were honest and heartfelt as they looked at each other the entire time they were saying them, and may I add they also had some jokes here in there.

One of my favorite moments was seeing how Joe reacted when Grayson was walking down the aisle, his smile is one I will never forget.

Also, they sure know how to let loose on the dance floor.  All of their family and friends joined them to the sound of the 80's music! cheers to you both, for your growing love, and for meeting you both!

Bright Fall Inspired Wedding

OMG! I am so excited to finally be able to share this amazing inspired session with you all! What a better way to start November than by receiving the news that our shoot is featured on The Perfect Palette today and available for you all to see our creativity unfold.

On April I started brainstorming with Marcie from the Cucumber Bride to figure out a look for the shoot that would represent our brands.  We knew we loved DIY brides, with touches of boho, and of course color! The next step was finding a wedding stylist who can envision our Pinterest crazy ideas and make them into a reality! Along came Gaby from Cause We Can Events! boy was I Glad I met her at The Thrifted Sister's event. So many great vendors came together for the sake of creativity! I am so glad I was able to work with so many talented and kind wedding vendors.

I am in Cloud 9! I can't stop saying it...and I probably won't for a while! So many beautiful elements were added to this shoot from the cake, the calligraphy, the flowers, furniture, and boho rugs.. this list can go on! Everything was simply perfect! I can't forget how we all got to enjoy our hard work with a Churro and maybe Champagne!

I hope this styled wedding inspires my 2017 brides and all the upcoming "I do's" You know the holiday season is coming!!

Diana + Daniel Wedding

The moment I met Diana and Daniel for our initial consultation I knew we were going to become great friends! Maybe it was the way they both kept it real throughout the session, which I love! We stayed talking for hours to the point we lost track of time.

Let me tell you a little bit about them! They met in high school senior year in biology class.  Daniel and Diana were both very smart students.  One day Daniel needed a tutor to help him with his homework, but we all know it was an excuse to talk to Diana.  They finally went out, they got married a couple of years later.  It wasn't the way they both dreamt of, but they knew they loved each other so much, they were willing to wait till they were able to walk down the aisle and make their eternal love official in front of Gods eyes.  They both attended college as well as worked rigorous hours at work to be able to pay for schooling, in the back of their mind they both knew they wanted to marry through the church.

Finally, in March,  they were able to make their dream and family's dream come true.  Diana with a huge smile on her face walked down the aisle.  This church had special meaning to her family it is where she, her sisters, and brother did their first communion and confirmation.  Once they finally said I do and got a few moments to thank God for this glorious moments,  they walked down the aisle, Diana made eye contact with her proud father.

They danced the night away with their family and friends.  I have never met a family full of life and happiness.  So many moments they will never forget.  Even Edgar and I (once we were off the clock danced the night away with the bride and groom not because we were weirdos, but because they invited us ;)  )

Diana, we LOVE you & Daniel so much! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for bringing us in as photographers turned friends, and treating us like family! Please let us know when you are back in town, we miss you both in Cali!!

Mariachi Wedding

Gabriela wedding was so different I fell in love with all the vibrant colors they used in their wedding.  The couple infused their culture to their wedding day, I was surrounded of mixes of bright colors.  They even incorporated Mexican attire to their wedding dress and he was dressed up as a true charro.

I have never seen the use of the zarape so elegantly used.  This was one of the weddings I was able to be part of and capture back in October when I was still working as a second photographer for Rosalina Suarez Photography.

I am completely fortunate for everything I learned from my mentor, and I will never forget how much she helped me .  She pushed me to start this new journey in my life.  At times (which is a lot) when I am feeling low and insecure about my business she is the person I call.  She is one of the few who understands how difficult it is to start a business.  I think she believes in me more than I believe in myself.  Rosa, I can not thank you enough for being such an incredible mentor!

This new journey has really forced me to dig into who I really am, and I love every second of it.  Yes, like I said before there is days I want to drop the towel, but there are other days especially when I see the gratification of my clients when I think I love my job!

The Jones Wedding

I have never had a groom write me such a beautiful love story of how he met the love of his life, till Kam came along. Usually, the bride is the one thrilled to email me about their love story, but he wanted to make sure I got his side of the story. Without further ado, I will be giving you a glimpse on how Kam fell in love with Nayeli.

Nayeli is the kind of girl who goes after what she wants. She is a goal oriented kind of girl full of energy and spunk. This is the reason her clients love having her as their trainer because she pushes them to their unknown limits. She was in search of herself the year she met Kam and in no way looking for love. But even though she did not know it, love was going to come to her heart.

It all Started at the Umma Gym where they both worked as trainers. The first time they met it was very casual. Kam had heard of Nayeli before she officially introduced herself to him, but without knowing her name Kam knew he was talking to the girl his best friend had been talking about. Even though he thought she was cute, he tried to keep his distance, keep his conversations short, and not break guy code.

After trying his best to stay away and his best friend getting turned down by Nayeli, Kam decided to ask her out. Sparks flew during their first date with endless hours of conversations, they did not want their date to end. As a way to spend more time with his future wife, he decided to invite her to his family's UFC party.
After weeks of getting to know each other, and endless misunderstandings of who is in the friend zone. Nayeli being the go-getter that she is held Kam's hand and wanted them to define the relationship. In Kam's words, "Everything after that I suppose you could say is one huge messy (but wonderful) history. smile emoticon the end"

Nayeli and Kam you are the type of couple who light up the room with your humor and love for each other it was honor capturing such an important moment in your life.

Update* In less than two weeks they will both be welcoming their baby boy!! I am excited to meet baby Jack!

LA Vintage Wedding: Angie+Marco

Angie & Marco's November wedding had perfect touches of vintage and romance, it was the first wedding I had captured in the city of Los Angeles.

Angie's day started by her putting on her final touches to look simply breathtaking on her wedding day.  She spent her last moments at her parents home waiting patiently for her big reveal to Marco.

Before the ceremony, they met in an LA hill top to finally get a chance to see each other for the first time before their life changing ceremony started.

They decided to write a love letter to each other and read it moments before they were able to see each other for the first time.  Marco was actually blindfolded to hold back any peaking urges. He was extremely excited to see his future wife, his reaction to seeing Angie for the first time, is a look to this day I still remember.

Angie & Marco thank you for the honor of allowing me to capture your first day as husband and wife.  Your love for each other is truly magical.  I hope you guys continue to have magical days in Disneyland!
